Why we started Digiledger
Too many small businesses in Birmingham were in the same position: paying more than they should, waiting too long for replies, and still not understanding what their accountant had actually done.
We built Digiledger Solutions to be the practice we wished existed. Local. Transparent. Direct. A practice where you get a real person, a fixed monthly price, and books that are genuinely up to date — not sorted in a rush in January.
MTD made this more urgent. The compliance landscape has changed significantly and it's going to keep changing. Small businesses that aren't set up correctly are going to face real penalties. We want every business we work with to be ahead of that, not scrambling to catch up.
Who we are
Rick leads the practice — part-qualified ACCA, Finance Manager background, and a Xero Advisor. Our qualified accountants handle statutory accounts, corporation tax, and complex Self Assessment — ensuring every client gets the full scope of service they need, not just the parts we can legally do ourselves.
We're based in Birmingham. We work across the Midlands. We know the local business community and we're building a practice in it — not delivering a remote service from somewhere else.
How we work
Fixed monthly fees. No hidden extras. Monthly bookkeeping done by the 10th. Quarterly MTD submissions handled before the deadline. VAT returns filed on time, every time. And a direct line to Rick via WhatsApp for anything that comes up in between.
No ticket system. No call centre. No waiting three weeks for a reply to a simple question.
